2,000 cr sanctioned for flyovers, underpass, land acquisition, grade separator in Pune

Deputy chief minister Devendra Fadnavis was in Pune to inaugurate several development projects in the city yesterday, on January 14. In his speech addressing the citizens he announced that Rs 2000 crores have been sanctioned to carry out various development projects such as land acquisition for Katraj – Kondhwa road, construction of underpass, flyovers, bridges, Pune city’s flood control retaining wall, and grade separator. The state government will bear the expenses of the projects as per the agreements and shall release the funds in the coming three years. 

He was speaking at the inauguration of the Dharmaveer Sambhaji Maharaj Flyover in Yerwada at Golf Club chowk in Pune. Fadnavis said that the vision of developing Pune will be supported by the state government and shall bear the cost upto 60 percent, while PMC will bear 40 percent. The scheme was approved by CM Eknath Shinde.

Fadnavis said that the outer ring road will transform the development of Pune city. The land acquisition of the road in the outer ring road will need Rs 10,000 crores, the government has taken it on priority. This ring road will bring a value of  2.5 lakh crores which will pave a strong way for the development in the coming decade.
