For the last 11 days, the streetlights around Raheja Vista Phase 1, 2 and Premiere, Dorabjee Paradise have remained non-functional.
Since the area is close to the forest, without streetlights the stretch from Royale Heritage Mall to Raheja Vista circle remains isolated and brings fear among the residents.

A local resident complained that the area is in dark since early evening. Senior citizens and women are in fear of being looted by miscreants as there is absolutely no light on the road. Women have stopped going out in the evening. Citizens can’t move out without their personal vehicles.
The residents demanded that Pune Pulse should take up the issue and resolve it

Speaking to Pune Pulse, Srinivas Kandul, head, electrical department, said, “The streetlights will be repaired at the earliest. We will ensure that the residents face no inconvenience.”

Another resident complained that taking advantage of the non-functional streetlights several youths, couples, sit on the footpath and indulge in anti-social activities which is becoming a grave concern.
