Pune: ‘Women and road safety’ is my priority in 2023, says MP Supriya Sule

Member of Parliament Supriya Sule visited many societies in Bavdhan, such as Regalia Residency, Dreams Belle Vue and met members of the Bavdhan Citizens Forum and discussed water, infrastructure issues and assured to resolve them.

Bavdhan: Nationalist Congress Party Member of Parliament from Baramati Constituency Supriya Sule was in Pune today to meet residents from the Constituency where she heard complaints regarding inflated property tax bills, inadequate water supply, infrastructure development, etc.

During her visit to Bavdhan she inaugurated the Jyeshtha Nagrik Katta, an informal place for Senior Citizens to discuss varied issues. While addressing the residents she said that in 2023 she aims to concentrate more on safety of woman and also taking up measures to make road journeys safe. Her visit to the area was organised by Deepak Dagade, a NCP leader and deputy sarpanch from Bavdhan.

Focusing on women safety, she intends to make sure the street lights are working, CCTV cameras are installed and various factors responsible to make a women feel safe when she is out. While on the other hand road safety has now become a big concern as many accidents are reported. On this while addressing the citizens, Sule said, “Promise me that you will wear a seat belt while traveling in a four wheeler and wear a helmet while driving a two wheeler. I personally wear a seat belt while I am in a four wheeler no matter where I sit back seat or front seat.”

Sule heard the grievances of Bavdhan Society Residents regarding water, garbage and other issues. Bavdhan Citizens Forum members told her about the sub station of MSEDCL at Bavdhan on which she assured them to look into the matter and sort it out as soon as possible.
