On 13th March, a massive solar project was commissioned at Skyscraper Co-operative Housing Society in Tathawade, with a capacity of 30 kilowatt (kW).

As per further information shared by Skyscraper society,

A 30 kW solar project was commissioned at Skyscraper Cooperative Housing Society in Tathawade. The society is expected to save about 40 to 50 percent of the electricity bill in which about three and a half thousand units per month will be generated. Today, the society is getting a bill of Rs 1.5 to 2 lakh per month. In the next period, the electricity bill will surely have a positive impact because of the solar project.

Some of the benefits of this solar project are:

  • 1) Currently, the society pays around Rs 1.8 lakh on electricity bills. With solar plant installation, the society will save 30-40% on per month expense of the electricity bill.
  • 2) This will reduce CO2 emission and help the environment.
  • 3) This will be a long-time benefit with one time investment.

This entire project was completed with 1 year savings from the society. Inspired by PM Narendra Modi’s Surya Ghar program, they installed this plant in the society.

This plant was inaugurated on 13th March 2024 at 2.00 PM. At that time, the society residents were present and the plant was inaugurated by Chairman Pankaj Patil, Treasurer Gaurav Patni, Secretary Ankit Agarwal, Committee members Ankit Patil, Sushant Dixit, Deepak Barate, Pratik Machve. Society Manager Kashinath Makhre handled the entire program.
