Young Delhi judicial officer Aman Kumar Sharma found dead at residence; police examine all angles including reported personal distress
A shocking incident has emerged from the national capital, where a 30-year-old judicial officer, Aman Kumar Sharma, was found dead at his residence in South Delhi’s Green Park area. The incident has sent ripples through legal and administrative circles, with authorities launching a detailed investigation to ascertain the exact circumstances surrounding his death.
According to initial information, police reached the residence following a PCR call and found Sharma hanging inside the house. The body was subsequently taken into custody and sent for postmortem examination. Officials have stated that, so far, no signs of foul play have been detected, though the case is being probed from all possible angles.
Aman Kumar Sharma was serving as a Secretary in the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) at Karkardooma Court. He had joined the Delhi Judicial Service on June 19, 2021, and was considered a promising officer in the system. His sudden death has left colleagues and the legal fraternity in deep shock.
Preliminary findings indicate that Sharma may have been under significant emotional distress. Reports suggest that shortly before the incident, he had made a phone call to his father late at night, expressing that he was feeling extremely troubled and overwhelmed. Alarmed by the conversation, his father reportedly began travelling from Alwar to Delhi, but the tragic incident had already occurred by the time he arrived.
Investigators are also looking into possible personal and domestic factors. Some reports indicate that there may have been ongoing disputes within the family in recent months. However, officials have not confirmed any definitive cause, and they emphasise that conclusions will only be drawn after a thorough investigation.
Sharma had completed his legal education from Symbiosis Law School in Pune in 2018 before joining judicial services. His academic and professional journey reflected steady progress, making the incident even more distressing for those who knew him.
Police are currently questioning family members and examining electronic devices and call records as part of the investigation. Authorities have reiterated that all aspects including professional pressure and personal circumstances are being carefully reviewed.
The case continues to remain under investigation, with officials awaiting postmortem findings and further evidence to establish clarity on what led to the tragic event.
