In Chandrapur, Collector Vinay Gowda advised residents to stay calm and move to open spaces if tremors are felt again. Light shocks were also experienced in Gadchiroli and other areas close to Telangana. Telangana Weatherman, a user on X, noted that this was one of the strongest earthquakes in the region in the last 20 years.
India, which falls under four seismic zones—Zone II to Zone V—experiences varying earthquake intensities. Telangana, categorized under Zone II, rarely experiences such seismic activity, making this event noteworthy.
