5 Runners complete Stairway 2 Heaven 101 Kms Ultramarathon from Pune to Panchgani
Pune: 5 Marathoners from Pune ran the Stairway 2 Heaven Intercity Ultramarathon and covered a distance of 101 kms from Pune to Panchgani. Vishal Malani, Rohit Shetty, Satnam Singh, Shyamal Mondal and Murlikrishnan Pillai covered a distance of 101 kms crossing 3 Ghats and maximum elevation of 1,229 meters in a single stage within a time of 19 hours 15 mins. Budding ultramarathoners covered the distance in Relay format with Lokendra Singh (60 kms), Akshay Shetty (53 kms), Mukesh Dangaria (30 kms), Rahul Rane (24 kms), Kanu Dhakhada (21 kms), Niraj Patil (20 kms), and Rahul Dhawan (21 kms).
The ultra-run was flagged off from Shaniwarwada, Pune at 12:00 am on Saturday, 21 st September, 2024 and concluded at Ravine Hotel in Panchgani.
The run was supported by Brooks Running India, LEAP India and Ravine Hotel.
