5000 police personnel deployed on 31st December in Pune city
Pune: A total of 5,000 police personnel and traffic police will be deployed in Pune city on December 31st to maintain the law and order.. The police will also be taking action on people who indulge in drunk and driving incidents.
A campaign to raise awareness about drunk and driving was organised by thr transport department. Police will take action against law breakers. As many as 100 breath analysers have been made available to the police.
“Three Additional Police Commissioners, five Deputy Commissioner, 4,000 police personnel and officers, 1,000 traffic police personnel, quick reaction teams will be deployed on 31st December in Pune. We appeal to citizens to celebrate the new year peacefully,” said Retesh Kumar, Pune City Police Commissioner.
