Pune: Autorickshaw Meter Inspection Shifted to New Locations Due to Low Response
PUNE: In response to requests from autorickshaw drivers and owners for meter inspections, the Pune Regional Transport Office authorities initially introduced mobile meter inspection trucks at two locations—Alankar Police Station, Karvenagar, and Ramtekdi Industrial Estate, Eagleburg Company, Lane No. 3. However, due to low participation from autorickshaw drivers and the need for additional staffing, the inspection truck at Ramtekdi has been temporarily suspended.
Autorickshaw drivers and associations are now advised to visit the inspection center near Alankar Police Station, Karvenagar, or the Alandi Road office in Pune for meter calibration and inspection. The authorities urge all drivers and owners to comply with the necessary meter checks at these designated locations.
