Hadapsar, Pune, November 15, 2024 — At a Mahavikas Aghadi (MVA) rally in Malwadi, Hadapsar, veteran NCP leader Sharad Pawar passionately urged residents to elect a proactive representative, calling out the current MLA for failing to address local issues. Supporting MVA’s official candidate Prashant Jagtap, Pawar criticized the incumbent MLA’s inaction on community concerns and underscored the need for genuine representation.

“Hadapsar has a rich legacy of social progress and educational advancement fostered by leaders like Annasaheb Magar and Ramrao Tupe,” said Pawar. “Today’s MLA has ignored the needs of the people, showing indifference to their welfare. Hadapsar deserves a representative who will work for its progress,” he remarked, encouraging voters to choose change.

Pawar also took aim at the ruling Mahayuti government, citing issues like rising inflation, unemployment, farmer distress, and Maharashtra’s low ranking in employment and education. He highlighted how these issues, especially women’s safety, remain neglected under the current administration.

Pawar advocated for an independent municipal corporation for Hadapsar, citing rapid growth and the need for dedicated governance. He suggested that Prashant Jagtap, with his prior experience as Pune’s mayor, is equipped to address Hadapsar’s infrastructure needs, such as tackling traffic issues, water scarcity, and crime. Jagtap pledged to bring water from Mulshi Dam, enhance metro access, and develop vital infrastructure like a flyover at Bhairoba Nala.
