Pune: Fire Brigade Rescues Kondhwa Resident Stuck In Building BalconyÂ
Pune, December 3, 2024: A man stuck on the fourth-floor balcony of Kumar Pragati Society in Kondhwa Khurd was successfully rescued by the Pune Fire Brigade early this morning. The control room received a distress call at 7:09 AM, reporting that an individual had been stranded for an extended period on the exterior of the building.
A fire engine from the Kondhwa Khurd Fire Station was promptly dispatched. Upon reaching the site, the rescue team observed that the man, estimated to be 31 years old, was precariously perched on the fourth-floor balcony of Wing D. Using a ladder from the fire engine, the team ascended approximately 35 feet to reach him. Employing safety belts and ropes, they carefully secured and brought him down safely, completing the operation in around 20 minutes.
Preliminary information provided by local residents suggests that the individual is not a resident of the building but is believed to be mentally unwell. The local police are conducting further investigations into the incident.
The rescue team, led by Fire Officer Kailas Shinde, included driver Satyam Chaukade, and personnel Mahadev Mangde, Sagar Dalvi, Nilesh Wankhade, Kunal Khade, and Manoj Bharti. Their swift and coordinated efforts ensured the man’s safety and averted any potential mishap.
