Pune: Man Run Over by Speeding Car in Wagholi
A 47-year-old man, Vishnu Hari Bhatoray, a resident of Wadegaon, Shirur, was killed in a road accident near Wagholi on December 8. The complaint was lodged by Lokbahadur Narbik (37), who is a friend of the deceased. Both were daily wage laborers.
According to the police, Bhatoray and Narbik were walking home around 8 PM when the incident occurred. The two had started their journey on foot from Wagholi and were near Katkewadi Phata when a speeding car hit Bhatoray.
The impact left Bhatoray severely injured. He was immediately rushed to the hospital, but he succumbed to his injuries during treatment.
The Loni Kand police have registered a case based on Narbik’s statement and are investigating the matter. Further details about the vehicle or driver involved are yet to be revealed.
Police are appealing to witnesses or anyone with information about the accident to come forward to assist in the investigation.
