SaiRaj Heights Society in Punawale celebrated the grand inauguration of its 55KW solar energy project, marking a significant milestone in the community’s journey towards sustainability and energy efficiency. This ambitious initiative, spearheaded by the SaiRaj Heights committee, has become the largest solar energy installation under the capex model in the Punawale area, catering to 115 flats with cutting-edge solar panels.
The project, driven by the efforts of Chairman Bhupesh A. Atkari and Secretary Nitin Kulkarni, offers numerous benefits:
- The solar energy system will generate an impressive 6,500 KW of energy monthly.
- It is projected to save approximately ₹1.30 lakh every month in electricity costs, covering 80% of the society’s total electricity expenditure.
- Additionally, the project contributes to environmental conservation by saving the equivalent of 150 trees each month.

The inauguration ceremony was graced by esteemed guests, including former MLA Ashwini Jagtap, Navnath Dhawle, and Jayesh Akole, President of Windsor Solar. Their encouragement and support played a crucial role in the successful completion of the project. The Windsor Solar team deserves special recognition for executing the installation within just 1.5 months, maintaining top-tier standards of efficiency and sustainability.
This initiative underscores the growing importance of renewable energy in combating rising electricity costs and environmental challenges.
