Pune: Fire Breaks Out From Two-Wheeler In NIBM Road Society At Kondhwa; No Casualties Reported
A fire broke out in a four-story building, Natasha Enclave, located on NIBM Road in Kondhwa Khurd, Pune, around 3:32 AM on January 13, 2025. The fire started from a two-wheeler, and upon receiving the alarm, the Kondhwa Khurd fire brigade rushed to the scene.
Upon arrival, the firemen observed that the motorcycle had caught fire, and the flames had spread to household items in the galleries on the first and second floors of the building. Recognizing the severity of the situation, the firemen first confirmed that no residents were trapped in the building. They then started dousing the fire with water, successfully preventing the blaze from spreading further and managing to control it within 10 to 15 minutes, averting a major disaster. Due to the alertness of the firefighters, the fire did not spread into any of the apartments, preventing both injuries and significant property damage.
In one of the apartments, the firemen removed a leaking gas cylinder in time, preventing a potential catastrophe. The salon located on the ground floor remained safe, and the exact cause of the fire has not yet been determined.
This successful operation involved the efforts of Kondhwa Khurd fire station’s in-charge officer Kailas Shinde, driver Deepak Kachre, as well as firefighters Tandel Nilesh Lonkar, Mohan Sanas, Sagar Nevge, Anurag Patil, and Ramraj Bagal.
