PCMC Sets Up Constituency-Wise Help Desks For Special Electoral Roll Revision; Nodal Officers Appointed For Chinchwad, Pimpri And Bhosari
Pimpri-Chinchwad, July 23: The Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC), in coordination with the Pune District Collector’s Office, has established Assembly constituency-wise help desks to assist voters during the Special Intensive Revision (SIR)-2026 of electoral rolls.
The initiative aims to provide voters with information, guidance and prompt assistance regarding voter registration, corrections, required documents and other election-related services. The Election Commission of India’s helpline number 1950 has also been made available for resolving voter queries and complaints.
Help desks have been set up at the Pune District Collector’s Office, Pune Municipal Corporation and PCMC offices, with dedicated contact officers appointed for each Assembly constituency to facilitate the revision process.
Contact Officers Appointed
For constituencies under the PCMC jurisdiction, the following officers have been designated:
- 205 Chinchwad Assembly Constituency: Rahul Shedge – 9922501977
- 206 Pimpri Assembly Constituency: Atul Kirve – 9860310866
- 207 Bhosari Assembly Constituency: Pankaj Pawar – 9822235480
Additionally, Dilip Ambre (8698848324) has been appointed as the contact officer for the reserve help desk at the Pune District Collector’s Office.
The administration said the help desks have been created to ensure that voters facing difficulties during the revision process receive timely assistance and accurate guidance.
Citizens have also been urged not to rely on rumours, unofficial messages or misleading information. Instead, they should contact the designated help desks or the Election Commission’s 1950 helpline for verified information.
PCMC Commissioner Dr. Vijay Suryawanshi said that maintaining an accurate and transparent electoral roll is essential for a strong democracy. He said the Assembly-wise help desks have been established to ensure that every eligible voter receives the necessary support during the revision process and encouraged citizens to complete the required formalities on time.
Additional Commissioner Vikrant Bagade said constituency-wise contact officers have been appointed to ensure voters do not face any inconvenience. He appealed to citizens to rely only on official sources for election-related information.
Deputy Commissioner Sachin Pawar said providing voters with quick and easy access to information is a key priority during the Special Intensive Revision programme. He added that the help desks will respond promptly to queries regarding applications, documentation and voter list corrections, and urged citizens to verify that their names and details in the electoral roll are accurate.
The municipal administration has appealed to residents to cooperate with the revision exercise by completing the required procedures on time to help maintain an updated and accurate electoral roll.
