Raigad: A school trip to Imagica Theme Park in Khopoli turned tragic when a 14-year-old student suffered a fatal heart attack on Tuesday. The incident came to light on Wednesday after police shared details with the media as per PTI Reports.

The deceased, identified as Ayush Dharmendra Singh, was a Class 8 student at a Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation-run school in Ghansoli. According to police reports, Ayush began feeling uneasy during the trip and sat on a bench to rest. Moments later, he collapsed on the ground.

Teachers and park staff immediately rushed him to the primary health centre within the park. He was then referred to a private hospital, where doctors declared him dead on arrival.

A post-mortem examination, conducted in the presence of a government medical officer, confirmed that the cause of death was a heart attack.

The Khalapur police have registered an accidental death case and are investigating the matter further.
