Authorities were alerted after an informant flagged the video online, pointing out the potential danger caused by the stunt. Following the tip-off, a police team, led by ASI Baljit Singh, reviewed CCTV footage from key locations, including Gurudwara Chowk and the Police Control Room. The footage confirmed the traffic disruption caused by Jyoti’s actions.
As a result, an FIR was registered under Sections 125, 292, and 3(5) of the BNS, holding the women accountable for obstructing traffic and endangering public safety. The controversy ultimately led to the suspension of constable Ajay Kundu.
