Pune: Woman Jumps into Water Tank with Newborn Twins, Babies Found Dead
Pune – In a deeply distressing event on Tuesday afternoon, a 35-year-old woman, Pratibha Kumar Mohite, jumped into a water tank along with her newborn twin boys at her maternal home in Dattanagar, Theur. The incident occurred around 1 PM and was witnessed by a neighbor who immediately raised an alarm.
Ms. Mohite, who had recently delivered the twins through IVF treatment, was quickly pulled out by family members who rushed to the terrace. Sadly, the twin infants were found dead despite the prompt response.
The Lonikalbhor police station is investigating the matter. Senior Police Inspector Rajendra Panhale confirmed that a post-mortem examination is being conducted to determine the cause of death. The motive behind the tragic act is yet to be established.
