RCB’s Yash Dayal Booked in Sexual Harassment Case, FIR Registered Under BNS Section 69
In a shocking development, Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) pacer Yash Dayal has reportedly been booked in a sexual harassment case following serious allegations made by a woman. An FIR has been filed against him under Section 69 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), a section that deals with sexual intercourse with a woman through deceitful means, including false promises of marriage.
The FIR was registered at Indirapuram police station after a preliminary probe into a complaint filed through the Chief Minister’s grievance portal, IGRS. The complainant, a woman who alleges she was in a long-term relationship with Dayal, accused the cricketer of exploiting her emotionally and physically under the guise of marriage.
According to the complaint, the woman claimed she was in a relationship with Dayal for five years. She alleged that he made repeated false promises of marriage and even introduced her to his family to build trust. “He repeatedly made physical relations with me by falsely promising marriage and introduced me to his family, who assured me that I would be their daughter-in-law. I maintained the relationship with complete honesty and dedication,” the woman stated.
The woman also alleged that during the course of their relationship, Dayal borrowed money from her and engaged in similar behavior with other women. She reportedly claimed that when she confronted him about his alleged deceit and other relationships, she was subjected to manipulation and violence.
“I tried to end my life many times because I couldn’t get out of the mental pain, and he and his family kept giving me false assurances. His relationship with other women caused me deep mental trauma and broke me down,” she said in her statement.
Legal Action and Police Investigation Underway
Following the woman’s complaint and accompanying testimony, the police began an inquiry and subsequently registered an FIR. Authorities have reportedly confirmed that an investigation is currently underway, and any potential arrest would depend on further corroboration and procedural findings.
Yash Dayal, who played a key role for RCB in IPL 2025 and helped the franchise win their first title, has not yet issued a public response to the allegations. Meanwhile, the woman’s appeal has raised fresh concerns over alleged emotional and physical manipulation faced by women in romantic relationships, with calls for strict action.
Police officials have said that the case remains under investigation and appropriate legal steps will be taken as more details come to light.
