Aatmaj Parag Jain, a 12-year-old student from Namrata Magic Society in Pimple Saudagar, has made city and country proud by clinching the first rank at the national level of the World STEM and Robotics Olympiad (WSRO) 2025. Competing in the fiercely contested ‘Young Scientist – All STEM’ open category, Aatmaj outperformed peers from across India with his innovative project aimed at enhancing the safety and longevity of Indian bridges using IoT and Artificial Intelligence.

A student of G.K. Gurukul School, Pimple Saudagar, Aatmaj was part of the team “Tech Titans” which presented a sophisticated model to monitor structural health of bridges in real time. The national finals were held at Vigyan Bhavan, Science City, Ahmedabad, on 4th–5th October 2025.

His groundbreaking idea not only impressed the jury but also earned him a coveted spot to represent India at the Fibonacci International Robot Olympiad (FIRO) in Rome this November, a global platform for young robotics and STEM innovators.

Behind this young achiever stands a pillar of strength, his family. His father, Parag Jain, shared, “While we are overjoyed and immensely proud of Aatmaj’s achievement, the real credit goes to his mother. She has been his biggest strength, tirelessly guiding him and putting in tremendous effort alongside him throughout this journey. As a family, we have always supported his curiosity, and we are thrilled to see his hard work recognized on a national platform. This is just the beginning for him.”

Beyond the lab, Aatmaj is a spirited youngster who enjoys football and basketball. He nurtures a big dream, to create an “Indian Tesla” that is affordable and accessible to the people of his country.

His remarkable journey from the regional round to becoming a national champion reflects the potential of young minds to solve real-world problems with technology, creativity, and determination.
