For the first time, the Fursungi-Uruli Devachi municipal council and the Manchar and Malegaon municipal panchayats will go to polls, with voters directly electing their municipal heads. A total of 730 polling stations have been set up across the district, where around 900–1,100 voters will cast their votes per station.

Of the 14 municipal councils, five—including Baramati, Lonavala, Chakan, Alandi, and Rajgurunagar—will have three-member wards, while the remaining nine will have two-member wards. There are 347 wards across the 14 councils and 51 wards across the three panchayats. The voter list finalized on July 1, 2025, includes 579,199 voters for the municipal councils and 55,741 voters for the panchayats, totaling 634,940 eligible voters in the district.
