Pune, November 21, 2025: Pimpri-Chinchwad is set to host the prestigious 8th National Masters Tournament for the first time, organized by the Super Masters Games and Sports Federation. The event will run from January 27 to January 31, 2026.

The tournament will feature team competitions in Kabaddi, Hockey, Handball, Football, Volleyball, and Tennis Ball. Individual events will include Athletics, Archery, Chess, Swimming, Claw Fighting, Badminton, Dart Game, Judo, Karate, Weightlifting, Table Tennis, Lawn Tennis, Yoga, Air Pistol, and Air Rifle. All competitions are open to men and women above 30 years of age.

Mr. Vinod Kumar, Chief Executive Officer of the federation, announced that over 5,000 renowned athletes from across the country are expected to participate. The events will be held at various sports complexes, swimming pools, and stadiums across Pimpri-Chinchwad.

The tournament mascot, ‘Shekharu,’ was unveiled during a press conference attended by Maharashtra President Ramsingh Sangha, Secretary Shailesh Fulsunge, Vice President Chandrashekhar Kudale, and other officials.
