Pune | January 17, 2026: The Pune Division of Central Railway has announced a temporary closure of LHS Bridge No. 53 (Road Under Bridge – RUB) located between Talegaon and Dehu Road, citing essential maintenance and safety-related works.

According to officials, the bridge, situated at Km 164/1–2 on the Talegaon (TGN)–Dehu Road (DEHR) section under the jurisdiction of ADEN (South), Lonavala, will remain closed to all road traffic for seven days. The closure will be effective from 8:00 am on Monday, January 19, 2026, until 6:00 pm on Sunday, January 25, 2026.

The maintenance work includes construction of protective walls, painting, and thorough cleaning of the bridge structure. Railway authorities stated that these works are necessary to ensure long-term safety and proper upkeep of the infrastructure.

During the closure period, commuters and local residents have been advised to use the alternative route via Level Crossing (LC) Gate No. 52 located at Km 163/3–4 for their travel between Talegaon and Dehu Road.

The Pune Division of Central Railway has expressed regret over the inconvenience caused due to the temporary disruption and has appealed to the public for cooperation. Officials emphasised that the maintenance work is being undertaken in the larger interest of public safety and infrastructure improvement.
