Over the past two days, parts of the state have experienced a renewed drop in temperatures, while several regions are likely to see dry to partly cloudy conditions.
Typically, cold intensity starts easing by mid-January, and a gradual rise in temperatures is now being recorded across Maharashtra. Although a western disturbance affecting North India is active, its direct impact on Maharashtra remains limited, with only occasional cloud cover expected in some areas. Here is the detailed weather forecast for January 21 across different regions of the state.
Konkan Region and Mumbai:
The Konkan belt is expected to experience mild chill during the early mornings and evenings, while daytime temperatures will rise. In Mumbai, the maximum temperature is likely to hover between 28 and 30 degrees Celsius, while the minimum may range from 18 to 22 degrees Celsius. The sky will remain mostly clear to partly cloudy. Coastal areas will witness moderate winds, and there is no forecast of rainfall.
Western Maharashtra:
Dry weather conditions will prevail across western Maharashtra. Pune is expected to record maximum temperatures between 29 and 31 degrees Celsius, while minimum temperatures may range from 14 to 17 degrees Celsius. Morning hours could see light fog or slightly cloudy skies.
North Maharashtra:
A noticeable rise in temperatures is expected in north Maharashtra. Nashik may record a maximum temperature of up to 30 degrees Celsius, with minimum temperatures between 15 and 18 degrees Celsius. The weather is likely to remain dry, with brief spells of cloudiness.
Marathwada:
Marathwada will experience warm and dry weather conditions. Maximum temperatures are expected to range between 30 and 32 degrees Celsius, while minimum temperatures may stay between 16 and 19 degrees Celsius. Morning chill will be felt, but heat levels are expected to increase as the day progresses.
Vidarbha:
Vidarbha is likely to record the highest temperatures in the state. In Nagpur, maximum temperatures may range between 31 and 33 degrees Celsius, while minimum temperatures are expected to remain between 17 and 20 degrees Celsius.
