Maharashtra is once again witnessing a shift in weather, with the India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasting light rain in a few districts on January 22. Due to increasing cloud cover across several regions, day temperatures have risen, reducing the intensity of cold conditions that persisted earlier. While mild chill can still be felt during early mornings and nighttime, the daytime heat has noticeably increased. Minimum temperatures across the state are currently above 10°C, and this trend is expected to continue for the next few days.

According to the IMD, most parts of Konkan and coastal areas are likely to remain cloudy on January 22. Mumbai will experience partly cloudy skies along with morning haze. Although rain is not expected, heat and humidity may increase. The maximum temperature is likely to hover around 31°C, while the minimum may stay near 20°C.

In western Maharashtra, including Pune, mixed weather conditions are expected. Pune may record morning fog with partly cloudy skies through the day. The maximum temperature may remain around 31°C and the minimum near 14°C.

Marathwada is likely to see foggy conditions early in the morning, followed by clear skies. In Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, temperatures may range between 18°C (minimum) and 31°C (maximum).

Northern Maharashtra, including Nashik, may experience cloudy weather with light rain at isolated places. Vidarbha is also reporting rising temperatures and persistent cloud cover, particularly in Nagpur.

Health experts advise citizens to take precautions as sudden weather changes may trigger seasonal illnesses.
