Pune | February 21, 2026:

A joint anti-encroachment operation was carried out on Friday within the jurisdiction of the Kothrud–Bavdhan Regional Office by the Encroachment Removal Department and the Construction Department of the Pune Municipal Corporation.

The operation was conducted with the support of personnel from the Maharashtra Security Force, sanitation workers, and a team from the Kothrud–Bavdhan Regional Office led by Encroachment Inspector Rahul Doke, along with assistants Santosh Methe and Amol Gavande.

During the drive, several illegally placed structures and materials were seized, including handcarts, makeshift stalls, counters, and other encroaching items. 

The action was carried out under the guidance of Deputy Commissioner of the Encroachment Removal Department Somnath Bankar and Assistant Municipal Commissioner Suhas Jadhav.

Encroachment Inspector Rahul Doke stated that such drives against illegal encroachments will continue regularly and consistently to ensure strict enforcement and public space protection in the area.

The civic administration has reiterated its commitment to maintaining public order and keeping footpaths, roads, and public spaces free from unauthorized encroachments.
