‘The Void Will Never Be Filled’: Supriya Sule Remembers Ajit Pawar
Mumbai | February 28, 2026On the first monthly death anniversary of former Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, his cousin and NCP (SP) MP Supriya Sule said that the sense of loss left by his passing can never be overcome.
In an emotional post shared on social media platform X, Sule said it is still difficult to accept that Ajit Pawar is no longer with them. Expressing her grief, she wrote that the emptiness created by his departure has left a permanent void in their lives and memories
“It is still hard to believe that our Ajitdada is no more. The emptiness caused by his departure can never be filled. Dada, you will always remain in our memories.
The happy moments we shared with you will stay with us forever,” she said in her message.
Ajit Pawar and four others were killed in a tragic plane crash in Pune district on January 28, 2026. The incident sent shockwaves across Maharashtra and plunged the state into deep mourning.
Following his death, his wife Sunetra Pawar was appointed as the Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra and also assumed charge as the chief of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), marking a significant political transition in the state.
A month after his untimely demise, tributes continue to pour in from political leaders, party workers and citizens across Maharashtra, as the state remembers one of its most influential and powerful political figures.
