Total Bank Holidays In March
The Reserve Bank of India has scheduled 18 bank holidays in March 2026, including national holidays, regional festivals and weekend closures.
Banks usually remain closed on second and fourth Saturdays and all Sundays of every month.
Online Banking Will Continue
Even during bank holidays, digital banking services will remain operational. Customers can continue using UPI, mobile banking apps, internet banking and ATMs for money transfers and other transactions.
However, services that require visiting a branch—such as cheque processing, document verification or locker access—may not be available during these holidays.
Customers are therefore advised to complete important banking work before the holiday period to avoid inconvenience.
