Pune | Water Supply News : The Pune Municipal Corporation has urged residents to use water cautiously as supply will be temporarily disrupted in several parts of the city during peak summer due to essential maintenance work.
According to the civic body, repair work on a major water pipeline will be carried out on Tuesday, March 24, near the Savitribai Phule Pune University Chowk. To ensure safe and efficient completion of the work, water supply will be suspended in affected areas for the day.
Officials from the water supply department stated that the shutdown is necessary to prevent pressure fluctuations and to facilitate technical repairs on the main pipeline. The administration also highlighted that periodic maintenance is crucial given Pune’s growing population and increasing water demand.

Water supply will remain shut in the following localities:
- Senapati Bapat Road (both sides)
- Asha Nagar
- Gokhale Nagar
- Bahiratwadi
- Bhosale Nagar
- Kasarkar Wadi
- Aundh-Baner area
- Areas near Modern College
- Model Colony
- Chikhalwadi
- Bopodi
Residents in these areas may face water shortages throughout the day and are advised to store sufficient water in advance.
The civic administration has assured that supply will be restored smoothly on Wednesday, March 25, once the repair work is completed. Special planning has been undertaken to minimize inconvenience to citizens.
