Maharashtra: Weather conditions across Maharashtra have shifted once again, with the India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasting rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms and gusty winds in several parts of the state. Authorities have urged citizens to remain alert amid rapidly changing weather patterns.

According to the forecast, light to moderate rainfall with lightning and strong winds is expected in multiple regions. The sudden बदलाव in weather has prompted officials to advise residents to take necessary precautions, especially during outdoor activities.

In the Konkan region, including Mumbai, Thane, Raigad, Sindhudurg, Ratnagiri, and Palghar, hot and humid conditions are likely to persist. Mumbai is expected to record maximum temperatures between 30°C and 34°C, while minimum temperatures may range from 24°C to 27°C. High humidity levels are likely to intensify discomfort.

A yellow alert has been issued for parts of Marathwada, particularly Nanded, Hingoli, and Parbhani districts, where thunderstorms, strong winds, and rainfall are anticipated. While no official alert has been declared for Jalna, Beed, Latur, and Dharashiv, isolated areas may experience cloudy skies and sudden showers. Farmers have been advised to take precautionary measures to protect standing crops.

In Vidarbha, districts including Chandrapur, Bhandara, Gondia, and Nagpur are also under a yellow alert. The IMD has warned of possible lightning strikes and rainfall, urging residents to avoid open areas during thunderstorms and seek safe shelter.

Meanwhile, North Maharashtra districts such as Jalgaon and Nashik are not under any alert. However, cloudy conditions with light rain and gusty winds may occur in isolated areas, potentially bringing slight relief from rising temperatures.

Similarly, in West Maharashtra, including Kolhapur, Satara, Sangli, and Solapur, no official alert has been issued. Still, changing weather conditions may lead to increased wind speeds and light rainfall in some locations.

Overall, weather across the state is expected to remain unstable, with sudden showers likely to impact daily life in certain areas. Citizens are advised to follow official weather updates and take appropriate safety precautions.
