Pune Grand Tour 2027 Season 2 To Be Held From January 26–31
Pune, April 8, 2026: The second season of the international cycling event, Pune Grand Tour 2027, will be held across Pune district from January 26 to January 31, 2027. The competition will begin on Republic Day and conclude on a Sunday, ensuring minimal inconvenience to residents, District Collector Jitendra Dudi said.
He was speaking at a preliminary meeting held at the Collector’s office to review route planning, traffic management, and logistics for the event.
To ensure that citizens’ daily routines are not disrupted and that Punekars can fully enjoy the event, key planning changes have been introduced.
The first stage of the race will begin at the International Convention Centre in Moshi and conclude in Hinjawadi, offering a blend of the city’s modern IT hub and the scenic Mulshi region.
Stage-wise Schedule:
- Stage 1 (Moshi to Hinjawadi) – January 26, 2027 (Tuesday)
- Stage 2 (Baramati to Saswad) – January 27, 2027 (Wednesday)
- Stage 3 (Junnar to Rajgurunagar) – January 28, 2027 (Thursday)
- Stage 4 (Alandi to Lonavala/Khandala) – January 29, 2027 (Friday)
- Stage 5 (Lonavala/Khandala to Hinjawadi) – January 30, 2027 (Saturday)
- Final Stage (PCMC to Bal Gandharva Rangmandir) – January 31, 2027 (Sunday)
The event will showcase Pune district’s rich historical, cultural, and natural heritage, covering iconic locations such as Sinhagad, Saswad, Junnar, Rajgurunagar, and the scenic hill stations of Lonavala and Khandala.
Authorities have issued necessary instructions to all departments regarding traffic control, security arrangements, medical facilities, and volunteer management. Detailed planning is already underway to prevent traffic disruptions, and regular reviews will be conducted.
Officials noted that this year’s edition helped put Pune on the global map, and the upcoming 2027 event is expected to be even larger, better organized, and more impactful. The administration believes the event will significantly boost tourism, sports culture, and the local economy.
