A mixed weather pattern is expected across Maharashtra, as the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast a combination of heatwave conditions along with light rainfall in select regions on April 9. This unusual combination of rising temperatures and localized showers is being observed across different parts of the state.

According to the forecast, while heat intensity continues to rise, some regions may witness cloudy skies and light rain, indicating a temporary shift in weather conditions.

Region-wise Weather Forecast

Konkan Region:
The coastal belt will continue to experience hot and humid weather, with minimal chances of rainfall. Minimum temperatures are expected to range between 25°C and 27°C, while maximum temperatures may hover between 32°C and 34°C. High humidity levels are likely to make conditions uncomfortable.

Marathwada:
Parts of Marathwada, particularly Latur and Dharashiv, may see a change in weather with light to moderate rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms. Minimum temperatures will likely range from 22°C to 24°C, while maximum temperatures could reach 34°C to 36°C.

West Maharashtra:
Districts like Solapur and Sangli may witness cloudy conditions post afternoon, with chances of light showers in isolated areas. Temperatures are expected between 23°C and 25°C (minimum) and 33°C to 35°C (maximum).

Vidarbha:
The region is likely to remain dry and hot, with no rainfall expected. Temperatures may range from 24°C to 26°C (minimum) and could rise sharply between 36°C and 39°C, intensifying heatwave conditions.

North Maharashtra:
Districts including Nashik, Jalgaon, and Dhule are expected to experience predominantly dry weather. Skies may remain clear to partly cloudy, with temperatures ranging between 21°C and 23°C (minimum) and 32°C to 34°C (maximum).

Advisory Issued

While no official severe weather alert has been issued, authorities have advised residents to remain cautious due to the possibility of thunderstorms and lightning in some areas. Farmers, in particular, are urged to plan harvesting and drying activities carefully, keeping changing weather conditions in mind.
