Pune: Traffic Plan Revised At Undri Chowk; Temporary Diversions Introduced To Ease Traffic Congestion
Pune, April 9, 2026: In a move aimed at reducing frequent traffic congestion and ensuring smoother vehicular movement, the Pune City Traffic Police have announced temporary traffic changes at Undri Chowk under the Kondhwa Traffic Division.
The directive has been issued by Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic), Himmat Jadhav, under the powers granted by the Motor Vehicles Act, following the Maharashtra Government Home Department notification dated September 27, 1996. The revised traffic arrangements will come into effect from April 9, 2026, and remain in force until further orders.
Key Traffic Changes at Undri Chowk:
- Vehicles coming from Manterwadi Chowk towards Hole Vasti must proceed straight for 65 meters from Undri Chowk and take a U-turn to reach their destination.
- Vehicles traveling from Wadachi Wadi village towards Hole Vasti should take a left turn at Undri Chowk, move ahead for 65 meters, and then take a U-turn.
- Vehicles coming from NIBM and Hole Vasti Chowk towards Khadi Machine Chowk must turn left at Undri Chowk, travel 25 meters ahead, and take a U-turn.
- Vehicles heading from Khadi Machine Chowk towards Wadachi Wadi village should go straight for 25 meters from Undri Chowk and then take a U-turn to proceed further.
The traffic police have urged commuters to follow the revised routes and cooperate with authorities to ensure safer and more efficient traffic flow in the area.
