Pune MLC Elections 2026: Draft Electoral Roll For Local Authority Constituency Published
Pune, May 22, 2026: The draft voter list for the biennial elections to the Maharashtra Legislative Council from the Pune Local Authority Constituency has been officially released, as per the Election Commission of India’s schedule for the 2026 polls covering 16 local authority constituencies in the state.
According to officials, the nomination process for the Pune district constituency will begin on May 25, 2026. The Pune District Collector will serve as the Returning Officer for the election.
Voting is scheduled to take place on June 18, 2026, while counting of votes will be conducted on June 22, 2026.
The electorate for this constituency includes elected members of local self-government bodies within Pune district.
The draft voter list published on May 21, 2026, is available for public inspection during office hours at several designated locations, including the offices of the District Collector and Electoral Registration Officer, Pune Municipal Corporation, Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation, Pune Zilla Parishad, and the Cantonment Boards of Pune, Khadki and Dehu Road. It is also available at all municipal councils, nagar parishads and nagar panchayats in the district.
Authorities have stated that claims and objections regarding inclusion, deletion or correction of names in the draft voter list can be submitted between May 21 and May 27, 2026.
Eligible individuals may file Form 17 for inclusion of names, Form 7 for deletion, and Form 8 for corrections, and submit them to the Electoral Registration Officer or Assistant Electoral Registration Officer for the Maharashtra Legislative Council election (Pune constituency).
The designated office for submissions is located on the fifth floor of the District Collector’s Office, Pune – 411001, officials confirmed.
