36 families from Undri receive financial aid from district administration
Over 36 families were affected due to the heavy rainfall that took place on the month of October this year. Several homes were damaged due to this rain which led to severe loss of property. A proposal to help out the families rebuild their homes was sent to the Tehsildar office by the 12 village board member soon after the destruction took place.
Vyankatesh Chirmulla circle officer visited the spot and assured to help through the disaster relief fund. He was assisted by Undri village Talathi Shivaji Deshmukh who helped in conducting panchnama of these houses. Since many villagers were unaware of this help provided by the district administration the information was shared by social activists of the area Rajendra Bhintade, Vijay Kad, Rohan Kad, Avinash Takle, Vitthal Bhintade, Lalchand Bhintade, Tushar Bhintade,Vijay Choudhary who collectively helped in identifying these homes and gave them the cheques of Rs 5000 each recently.
