Raised pedestrians walkway needed near Samvidhan Chowk
Residents of Wanawadi had shared their concerns over absence of raised pedestrians on the road stretch of Samvidhan chowk to Mother Teresa chowk to Jagtap chowk in a local whatsapp group.
The concerns were informed to the police upon which the Wanawadi traffic police today on February 10, 2021 wrote to the Deputy Commissioner of Police Traffic Division Pune urging him to install raised pedestrian way.
“Samvidhan chowk to Mother Teresa chowk to Jagtap chowk is a long stretch of road and motorists often drive rashly. Today on February 10, 2021 after surveying the area we came to a conclusion that raised pedestrians way is much needed for the safety of pedestrians. Since this is a 60 feet road there is no raised pedestrians on this road,” said S V Bhosale, Police Inspector, Wanawadi traffic police.
