Pune: On December 16, 2023, the registration for admission in classes 6 and 9 of 33 Sainik schools nationwide will close.
Students can register for the entrance exam on the National Testing Agency’s official website in order to be considered for admission to the English-medium residential schools connected to the CBSE.
As per further information, cadets at Sainik schools get ready to enroll in officer training academies such as the Indian Naval Academy, National Defense Academy, and others.
January 21, 2024, is the date of the All-India Sainik Schools Entrance Examination (AISSEE)-2024, which is required for admission to classes 6 and 9. The examination fee is Rs 650 for candidates in the general category, as well as wards of defense personnel, ex-servicemen, and OBC. Students from scheduled castes and tribes must pay a fee of Rs 500 for the exam. December 16, 2023, is the deadline for fee payments made by debit, credit, or internet banking or UPI.
As of March 31, 2023, students who wish to enroll in Sainik Schools’ sixth grade must be between the ages of 10 and 12. Subject to vacancies, girls’ admission is available for class 6. Female students must meet the same age requirements as male students. Candidates must be between the ages of 13 and 15 as of March 31, 2024, and they must have completed class 8 at an accredited school in order to be considered for admission to class 9. Girls are welcome to apply for class 9 admission. They use the same age range as boys.
Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), to be completed on pen and paper, will be part of the exam format.
Nineteen New Sainik Schools, which collaborate with NGOs, private schools, and state governments, have received approval from the Ministry of Defence (MoD). The Sainik Schools Society oversees these authorized New Sainik Schools. AISSEE-2024 is also the entrance exam for the Sainik School stream of class 6 at the New Sainik Schools for the 2024–2025 academic year.
