The Pride World City society members claimed that they were alarmed after seeing a video a few days ago showing a hyena crossing the road and walkway from Pride World City to D Y Patil College. They have since reported this unusual sighting to the forest department. But later on, the hyena vanished into thin air, leaving everyone puzzled.

However, the forest department and an animal rescue non-governmental organization have both claimed that these wild animals have lived inside the city limits, particularly in its outskirts. They emphasize that there’s no reason to be overly alarmed or panicked about their presence.

Raj Varak, range forest officer, Pune forest department informed Pune Pulse that the team has been deployed to trace the animal. Appropriate action will be taken once the animal is traced.
