In preparation for the forthcoming Shiv Jayanti celebrations on February 19, Superintendent of Police, Pune Rural, Pankaj Deshmukh, announced the deployment of approximately 1,100 police officials and home guards at Junnar’s historic Shivneri Fort.

Leading the team will be an additional superintendent of police along with six deputy superintendent of police (DSP) rank officers.

During a recent press conference, Deshmukh emphasized the importance of security arrangements, urging devotees to plan their darshan after Chief Minister Eknath Shinde’s scheduled puja at 10 am. To prevent any untoward incidents, Pune Rural Police’s cyber teams are actively monitoring social media for suspicious activities, with a particular focus on deleting posts that may incite unrest.
