On February 21, 2024, a meeting was held with the cab companies of the Indian Gig Workers’ Front (IGWF) & cab drivers, under the chairmanship of Pune District Collector Suhas Diwase in the collector’s office at 7 pm.

As per further information shared by Dr Keshav Kshirsagar, President, Indian Gig Workers’ Front, in the said meeting, the District Collector instructed the cab companies to hold a meeting under the chairmanship of the Regional Transport Officer, Pune before February 28 and find a practical solution to the issue. If there is no consensus among the cab companies before February 28, then they will clarify their position in the meeting that the Pune District Collector is going to hold on February 28.

Dr Keshav Kshirsagar further shares “We will have a meeting with the cab companies on Friday i.e. 24th February 2024 and Monday i.e. 26th February 2024 in the office of the Regional Transport Officer Pune and then again on 28th February 2024 under the chairmanship of the District Collector.

Kshirsagar further shared that as an organization, they have decided to take a stand of restraint till 28th February 2024. If the demands are not met or concrete solutions not coming up by then, then in any case, a severe protest will be done.
