A pat on the back: Shatrughan Kate Youth Foundation honours ‘bright’ students and teachers

Students who bagged the first three places in each class and branch were honoured with a tablet phone and a trophy each.

Pune: Shatrugan Kate Youth Foundation conducted a felicitation ceremony for the meritorious students of 10th and 12th standards at Basuri Banquet Hall, Pimple Saudagar on Saturday. Teachers who walked the extra mile to help students perform better were also felicitated on the occasion.  
A total of 600 students were honoured with school bags, certificates, notebooks and pens. A total of 18 students who bagged the first three places in each class and branch were honoured with a tablet phone and a trophy each.

Shatrugan Kate organised a ‘career guidance’ session for parents and students in which Jimmy Pandita, education counsellor, provided valuable information.

“Education benefits future generation. Students who have passed should take the right decision now and choose the path to success because this is a life-changing event. If you make a mistake at this stage of life, it is difficult to survive in the era of competition,” said Bapu Kate.

“If you want to be successful in life, you should study and follow the principles of Maa Jijau, Savitribai Phule, Ahilyabai Holkar,”added Bapu Kate.

Mayuri Mehta (Principal, GK Gurukul), Sheetal Kamat (Principal, Vibgyor School), Surekha Joshi (Principal, Annasaheb Magar School), Arun Chabukswar (Founding President, New City Pride School), Tanaji Ankushrao (Retired Principal, Annasaheb Magar School), Usha Bhardwaj (Retired Teacher, Kendriya Vidyalaya), Shakur Syed (Retired Professor, MUCC College), John Sir (Teacher) were among those felicitated with badge of honour and a Tulsi plant.

On this occasion, Shatrughan Kate, the organizer of the programme had invited Dr. Chandrakant Kanse, Dr. Saraswati Kanse, Police Inspector Sunil Tonpe, Advocate Rajesh Jadhav, Pavana Co. Bank Vice President Jaynath Kate, Unnati Social Foundation President, as chief guests.

Kunda Bhise, Kailas Kunjir, Sanjay Bhise, Chanda Bhise, Pravin Kunjir, Subhash Bhise, Balkrishna Parghale,Vikas Kate, Vikas Bhola Kate, Manoj Brahmankar, Deepak Gangurde, Sameer Devere, Manoj Yadav and other dignitaries were also present.
