A Unique Exhibition about Environment Conservation Organised in Pune

Pune : The Van Udyan Samvardhan Va Seva Sanstha, along with the Lions Club and Anandvan Foundation, have organized an exhibition from June 4 to June 6 at Balgandharva Art Gallery, Pune. The exhibition is organized to educate Punekars about environmental conservation and awareness.

Speaking about the exhibition, Anil Mandrupkar, an environment expert and organizer said, “The exhibition showcases works of various environmental conservationists who enthusiastically work for conserving several hills in Pune. Various concepts like before and after conditions of hills and photo frames are showcased in the exhibition. The purpose of this exhibition is to encourage, educate and create awareness amongst more and more people about environmental conservation, tree plantation, proper waste management and much more.”

Speaking further Mandrupkar added the names of the hills that are showcased at the exhibition viz. Arai Tekdi  (Vetal Tekdi), Katraj hill, Kothrud hill, Gultekdi hill, Katraj hill, Kothrud hill, Gultekdi hill, Chatuhshringi hill, Tarakeshwar hill (Yerwada), Tukai Hill (Baner), Durga hill (Nigdi), Pachgaon, Fergusson College hill, Goat hill, Baner hill, Bavdhan hill, Bopdev Ghat hill, Bhandara hill (Dehu), Bhamburda hill (Vetal hill) (Bhamburda Vanvihar hill), Mhatoba hill, Ramakrishna Paramhansa Nagar hill, Paud Road, Ram hill, Range hills, Vanadevi hill (Karve Road), Law College hill (SNDT hill), Vetal hill, Sutarwadi hill (Pashan-Sus Road), Sus hill, Hanuman hill.

He also added that Punekars have a very close relationship with the hills. 

Thus, the exhibition organisers have requested Punekars to come and visit the exhibition in maximum numbers.
