ISHRAE Pune Chapter holds cycle rally and pledges to curb use of plastic on World Environment Day

World Environment Day and World Bicycle Day were both celebrated recently under ISHRAE Pune chapter by the youth, students and women together to spread awareness about Use of Cycle to make pollution free India. 

The cycle rally was organised for15 Kms to cover a major part of Pune City to spread awareness about Environment Protection. ISHRAE Pune in Association with World on Wheels , FSAI, RATA and Polaris Hospital & supported by Pune Municipal Corporation(PMC), Pune Traffic Department as well as Yashada, a government training institute for IAS officers. World Fastest Cyclist and Guinness Record Holder Preeti Mhaske was the Brand Ambassador for this cycle rally,Dr Mallinaath Kalashetti- Senior IAS officer,  Dy. Director General of Yashada & Mr Sachin Ithape Dy. Commissioner of Pune Municipal Corporation were the Chief Guest, Dr. Surendra Patil founder of Polaris Hospital was Distinguished Guest, Vimal Chavda President RATA Pune, Nitin Joshi President FSAI Pune, and various cyclist groups participated in this cycle rally. 

ISHRAE Pune chapter President Nandkishor Kotkar briefed the audience about ISHRAE’s activities, Mr Virendra Borade immediate past president of ISHRAE Pune conducted the whole event, Vishal Pawar Youth Chair and Mr Nilesh Gaikwad Students Chair, Anil Umbarje, PM Joshi office Secretariat were the main leader in organising this cycle rally. This rally is well supported by Mr Ashutosh Joshi, President Elect, Chetan Thakur, Treasurer, Subhash Khanade  Secretary, Amit Gulwade Technical Chair, Simple Jain Women Chair, Rashida Shabbir co-chair K 12 activity, Shamkant Mirashi Sustainability Chair, Ritesh Khera Industry Connect chair, Subodh Murkewar National IT chair, Mr Anuj Gupta National Youth co-chair, Mr Nandkishor Matode past President, Mr Deepak Wani past President,Mr Shashidhar R Sports Co Chair, and more 150+ ISHRAE members & non members were actively involved in this cycle rally. 

Students of PCCOE Engineering College performed a road show to simulate the 2053 situation of this world and gave a message to promote Sustainable Development if we want our future generations to live healthy. Overall the program was a huge success and the ISHRAE Pune team once again demonstrated a uniqueness in their activities in Engage Educate and Elevate the ISHRAE members.
