Accident : Courier carrying vehicle catches fire on Mumbai-Pune Expressway
On the Mumbai-Pune Expressway, around 3:25 am, an incident occurred involving a Mahindra pickup bearing the registration number MH12 TV 1503.
According to the information, the driver has been identified as Kamlesh Yadav, a 28-year-old individual. When a fire broke out, the vehicle was transporting frontline courier goods from Mumbai to Pune.
21 boxes were removed from the truck safely but many others caught fire.
The situation was resolved with the assistance of the fire brigade. At 4:30 pm, the vehicle was moved to the side of the road with the aid of Hydra, and traffic was restored to normal. Traffic in all three lanes has been regulated.
While talking to Pune Pulse, Yogesh Bhosale, Assistant Police Inspector, Highway Safety Patrol, added, ”A fire erupted within the bonnet of the pick-up vehicle during transportation of essential courier goods from Mumbai to Pune, resulting from the unfortunate incident.”
