Acquire marriage halls, hotels in PCMC and start covid care centers in these places; urges Nana Kate
Local Corporator of Pimple Saudagar and former Leader of Opposition, Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation Vitthal Nana Kate has written to the Commissioner of Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation urging him to acquire wedding halls, hotels from the PCMC jurisdiction and convert them into Covid care centers. Ever since the surge in Covid19 cases has been observed, there has been a severe shortage of beds to accommodate the growing number of Covid19 cases.
Kate has urged the Commissioner to convert these places into Covid Care Centers so that patients can be accommodated at these places which can be run by PCMC or any agency who is experienced in running medical facilities. Also, the funds which are now being utilised for concretising 18 meter wide or other areas can be utilised in buying oxygen cylinders, ventilators, ICU facilities and other medical facilities at the moment.
Kate further stated that it is high time that PCMC takes this decision which will help us all in providing better medical facilities to the patients.
