Actor Pallavi Joshi nominated as member of Film and Television Institute of India

Renowned actor and producer, Pallavi Joshi, known for her stellar performances in films such as ‘Woh Chokri’ and ‘The Tashkent Files’, has been nominated as a Member of the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII) Society. The Information and Broadcasting Ministry of the Government of India released the orders, appointing Pallavi Joshi to the esteemed position.

Pallavi Joshi’s tenure as a Member of the FTII Society will be effective from March 8, 2024, to September 3, 2026. The nomination is in accordance with Rule 3 (1) (11) of the FTII Rules, where the Government of India designates individuals of eminence to serve as members of the FTII Society.

A versatile artist, Pallavi Joshi began her cinematic journey as a child artist and has since made significant contributions to parallel cinema. Her notable roles in films like “Rihaee” and “Rukmavati Ki Haveli” have garnered acclaim. Pallavi Joshi, who also turned producer at IamBuddha, has received the prestigious National Film Award for Best Supporting Actress for her outstanding performance in “The Kashmir Files” (2019). Her inclusion in the FTII Society further reflects her commitment to the Indian film industry and arts education.
