As Dhurandhar continues to dominate theaters across India, drawing audiences with its gripping storyline and stellar performances, Akshaye Khanna has quietly retreated from the limelight to focus on personal moments. While his portrayal of Rehman Dakait, particularly in the viral track FA9LA, has captured nationwide attention, the actor has chosen to spend time in the serenity of his Alibaug residence, away from social media and public appearances.

A rare glimpse into this private life surfaced recently through a video shared on Instagram by priest Shivam Mhatre, showing Akshaye Khanna participating in a Vastu Shanti hawan at his home. Mhatre described the occasion in Marathi, noting, “I had the fortune of performing a traditional and devotional puja at actor Akshaye Khanna’s residence. His calm nature, simplicity, and positive energy made the experience truly special.”

The priest didn’t just highlight Akshaye Khanna’s personal demeanor—he also praised his cinematic journey. Writing about the actor’s body of work, Mhatre stated, “Akshaye is the definition of ‘class’ in acting. Through his powerful and impactful role in the historical film Chhaava, he once again captured the audience’s attention. This was followed by his sharp and intense character in Dhurandhar, his restrained yet highly compelling performance in Drishyam 2, and his serious, realistic role in Section 375—each film reflecting a new height in his acting journey.

With carefully chosen roles, meaningful cinema, and mature performances, Akshaye Khanna continues to hold a unique and respected place in the hearts of audiences.”

Directed by Aditya Dhar, Dhurandhar starring Ranveer Singh has seen a phenomenal response across the nation. Its second Saturday collections outperformed several major releases, including Pushpa 2 (Hindi) at ₹46.50 crore, Chhaava at ₹44.10 crore, Stree 2 at ₹33.80 crore, and Animal at ₹32.47 crore. Other notable second Saturday performances include Gadar 2 (₹31.07 crore), Jawan (₹30.10 crore), Saiyaara (₹27 crore), Baahubali 2 (Hindi) (₹26.50 crore), and The Kashmir Files (₹24.80 crore).

The film, which opened with a strong ₹28 crore, saw extraordinary momentum in its second weekend—₹32.5 crore on Friday, ₹53 crore on Saturday, and ₹58 crore on Sunday—continuing into weekdays with ₹30 crore on both Monday and Tuesday. These figures brought the total India net collection to an impressive ₹411 crore, surpassing second-week records of other major Hindi blockbusters like Dangal, Jawan, and Pathaan.

Alongside Ranveer Singh, Dhurandhar features Akshaye Khanna, Arjun Rampal, R. Madhavan, Sanjay Dutt, and Sara Arjun in pivotal roles. The makers have already confirmed Dhurandhar Part Two, scheduled for release on March 19, 2026. Akshaye Khanna’s portrayal of Rehman Dakait, particularly his appearance in the Fa9la track, has turned him into a national sensation and meme-worthy phenomenon.

While Ranveer Singh celebrated the success of the film with a modest post on Instagram, Akshaye Khanna’s approach was more introspective. Dressed casually in a white shirt and blue denim, he was seen performing rituals alongside three priests at his Alibaug home. The priest’s video captured the serene and devotional atmosphere of the Vastu Shanti ceremony.

Mhatre’s caption captured both the spiritual and professional admiration for Akshaye Khanna: “I had the good fortune of performing a traditional and devotional puja at actor Akshaye Khanna’s residence. His calm nature, simplicity, and positive energy made the experience truly special.

When it comes to class in acting, Akshaye Khanna stands apart. Through his powerful role in the historical film Chhaava, he once again captured the audience’s attention. This was followed by his sharp and intense character in Dhurandhar, his restrained yet compelling performance in Drishyam 2, and his serious, realistic role in Section 375—each film reflecting a new peak in his acting journey.
