Superstar Amitabh Bachchan has acquired a plot in a seven-star enclave in Ayodhya, near the soon-to-be-opened Ram temple, reportedly costing ₹14.5 crore for an approximately 10,000 sqft area. The Sarayu, spanning 51 acres, is set to be inaugurated on January 22, coinciding with the grand consecration ceremony of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi temple.

The project, located 15 minutes from the temple and half an hour from the airport, is anticipated to conclude by March 2028, featuring a five-star palace hotel.

Expressing his excitement, Bachchan stated, “I am looking forward to embarking on this journey with The House of Abhinandan Lodha for The Sarayu in Ayodhya, a city that holds a special place in my heart.” He highlighted Ayodhya’s timeless spirituality and cultural richness, emphasizing an emotional connection that transcends geographical boundaries.

The actor views this as the beginning of a heartfelt journey into Ayodhya’s soul, where tradition and modernity coexist.

“This is a start of a heartfelt journey into the soul of Ayodhya, where tradition and modernity seamlessly co-exist, creating an emotional tapestry that resonates with me deeply. I am looking forward to building my home in the global spiritual capital,” the report quoted him as saying.

Abhinandan Lodha, chairman of HoABL, recognized Bachchan as the “first citizen” of The Sarayu, indicating that his investment symbolizes Ayodhya’s global spiritual significance. This move reflects confidence in the city’s economic potential and a profound appreciation for its spiritual heritage, according to Lodha.
