Speaking to Pune Pulse, Bhupesh Sharma, of Anandvan Foundation and resident of Elina Living Society said, “Our main purpose is to make our area greener. We try to cover all roadsides for planting trees. We have planted 25 trees such as Bakul, Buch (Chameli) and many more on a footpath opposite the society. We plan to shift our focus to other areas as well. We will coordinate with every nearby society for this drive. Our target is to plant trees wherever there is a shortage. Our current target areas are NIBM Road, Mohammadwadi and Wanowrie areas as of now. Slowly, we will start targeting other areas too. We appeal to everyone to plant as many trees as possible everywhere.”

Vijaya Mogre, Resident of Elina Living Society said, “I am a plantation enthusiast.
We have done it without taking money from anybody else. The plants, digging equipment and others have been provided by Bhupesh Sharma & Anandvan Foundation. Also, I would like to thank Nanda Lonkar who is the corporator of the NIBM area for supporting and motivating us every time.”

Monika Sharma, a Resident, of Elina Living Society said, “I felt very happy while doing this activity as people from every age group, from kids to senior citizens, participated in the drive enthusiastically. The activity lasted for 3 hours, which I enjoyed a lot.”
