Pune: On August 13, animal rights activists in Pune converged in front of Westside on Fergusson College road for a unique event called ‘Freedom For All’. The campaign aims to highlight the importance of giving animals the freedom they deserve.

As per information, in a society where animals are often the victims of human abuse for things like food, clothes, and fun, this campaign is a loud and clear reminder that animals have a right to their own space. The event supports the fight against animal exploitation by adopting veganism. Veganism isn’t just a diet, it’s a social justice movement.

Vegans do not use or exploit animals in any way. They do not consume animal products such as dairy and honey. Eating animal products is not necessary because humans can grow and thrive on plant-based diets. This is supported by a large amount of scientific evidence that proves the power and health benefits of eating plant-based foods.

The event featured passionate activists who came up with eye-catching posters and demonstrated the plight of animals that are sold and treated as nothing but a piece of meat, whereas they are much more than that, they are a living and thinking being. Activists showed standard practices of the industries that exploit animals. Most people are unaware of the standard practices of the industry that exploits Animals. For example, in dairy, the first step is to artificially inseminate cows or buffalo. Their babies are then separated from them as soon as they are born and turned into calves who are considered by-products and sold for veal.

Placards were carried with powerful messages about animal rights, as well as singing and chanting in unison.

This important event has been carefully planned by the Vegan India Movement which is a grassroots activist movement dedicated to spreading vegan values. Through ‘Freedom For All’, the movement aims to create a deep sense of compassion for animals and create conversations that question the status quo.
